Jiao and Robert live in Vancouver but decided to get married in Calgary where a lot of their family and friends live. The day started out with some morning coffee for the guys thanks to Alek, one of the trusted groomsmen. As Robert continued to work on his car he was continuously reminded that he was going to get married in a few hours to his beautiful, smart and funny partner in life, Jiao Yang. As you see he cleans up well.
Jiao was stunning and accompanied by her beautiful bridesmaids at the Sheraton Eau Claire in downtown Calgary. Jackie (from Makup by Jackie) and her team did an amazing job with everyone’s hair and makeup. I apparently got kudos from all the girls by knowing what Manolo’s are! They got ready while the guys prepared at Knox United Church. It was a beautiful ceremony and the church was decorated by Flower Artistry. The bridal party formals were done with blue skys above in front of City Hall. We also visited the Chinese Cultural Centre for some photos with the wedding party. It was such a fun day. The evening was a great time and I was happy to see my good friend Jason from Dance! Shout! Productions at the helm of the party. Jason was able to keep the dance floor going strong all night.
