In November, 2011 I purchased a highly anticipated camera. The Fujifilm X10, Fuji’s first entry into the enthusiast compact (point and shoot) camera segment.

Why purchase a point and shoot when you have full DSLR kit, you may ask? Simply, convenience. I don’t want to be bringing around a backpack all the time in order to carry my DSLR, lenses, batteries, etc. Even if I stripped my DSLR down to the bare essentials, body & lens, it would still be quite a hassle to carry around the city everyday.
The reasons I chose the Fujifilm X10 over the more popular Canon Powershot G1 X or the Nikon Coolpix P7700 at the time (2012):
The rumors of release dates and features are flying all around the internet. My blog post isn’t intended to predict or tell you what will be on the X30. Nor do I know anything about this new camera. This post is a request to Fuji only:
There are rumours that the Fujifilm X30 announcement will be tomorrow (Tuesday, August 26th, 2014). More rumours suggest the release date is scheduled for September 2014. As long as Fuji decided to keep the essence of the X10 intact it’s going to be an early Christmas for me.
