First, I’d like to give a big thanks to the Calgary Arts Development for giving me the opportunity to travel out to Toronto for the festival. Without their generous support and funding I may not have been able to experience Contact this year.
I flew into Toronto a couple of days ago for the Scotiabank Contact Photography Festival. I’d have to admit, being at the mecca of Canadian photography festivals feels a bit intimidating. The quality of work showing here is amazing. All you have to do is look at the guide listing and you’ll get a sense of how much good work is out there. I’ve always had a goal to branch outside of my local city of Calgary, AB. I never would’ve guessed the first city that would have me would be Toronto.
Roads is a group exhibition at the Arta Gallery in Toronto. The work will feature the theme of roads in the literal sense as well as in the metaphorical world. Read and click on the image below for more information about the show. If you happen to be in the Toronto area May 8th, 2015, pop in for the opening reception. I’ll be showing my Slice of Life series which you can check out by going on my website: http://jcruzfineart.com
Huge huge congrats!!! Well deserved!! I’m so happy and excited for you!! :)
