Every year in February, the Banff / Canmore / Calgary region is host to the Exposure Photography Festival. Last year I showed an exhibit of my Instant Art project at the Resolution Art Gallery. This year I’m having two exciting new exhibits.
The first show is called “100 Years 100 Faces of the Stampede”. The project was something I thought of doing during the 2012 Calgary Exhibition and Stampede. The Stampede event had turned 100. During the centennial year I thought it would be nice to capture head shots of 100 random people. It started out as more of a challenge to myself to see if I could approach 100 people off the street and have them let me take their portrait.
The second show is a group show at Endeavor Arts called “Surreal”. I’m showing with two amazing photographers from Toronto. Laura Paterson and her magical Dreamscape images. Bob Carnie will be exhibiting his Alchemy of Light series. I’ll be showing my collection of long exposure and motion images that I’ve called Time.
I invite you all out to see these exhibits and others throughout the Exposure festival this month.
